"Brother, Can You Spare a Dime?" is one of the best-known American songs of the 1930's Great Depression. The song tells the story of the universal everyman or woman, whose honest work toward the American dream has been undone by the economic collapse.
I don't like asking folks for money, but unless I raise some, it's unlikely I can win the upcoming primary. As such, I must ask, "Brother, can you spare a dime?"
